Hi Lavji,

The message has just explained itself. The problem occurs when the CollectionManager tries to delete the entire index directory but fails to do so. Are you using MS Windows? If so, you could try deleting the index directory and rename the building directory manually. Sometimes the operating system does not let you delete a folder even it's already empty. In this case, you could try moving the content of the building directory into the empty index directory.

Hope this helps

Dear Colleagues,

I have faced problem during collection rebuilding process. When i press
the "Complete Rebuilding" button, the following message is appeared.

"This collection cannot be rebuilt because the old index files cannot be
deleted. Please make sure that Greenstone or some other program is not
using these files, and try again"

I think, after installing the "ImageMagic" i have been suffered by this
problem...

Pl. help me out.
