Hi Flores,

If the collect/ folder has the 777 permission to the greenstone group, did you start your web server as a user of that group? If not, you still can' t write to the folder. The simplest way of solving this is let the folder be writable by all.

Regards
xiao

Please check the directory greenstone/collect/ is there, and make sure it is
writable.

I'm having problems when I'm trying to use the gli-client
2.72 for windows:

I installed the next:

The operating system of the server machine:Fedora Core 5
The version of Greenstone installed on the server
machine:Greenstone V 2.72
The operating system of the client machine:Windows XP
Profesional with service pack 2
The version of Java installed on the server machine:JDK
1.5.18
gli-client-2.72

Then I the page http://localhost/cgi-bin/library I created
a new user 'israel'.

But when I use the Windows client, I receive the
following:

Greenstone Librarian Interface (GLI)

GLI comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details see
LICENSE.txt
This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute

Checking Java: C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32

Running the Greenstone Librarian Interface...
Version: v2.72

Deleting user's local collect directory...
Done.
gliserver args:

And when this user(or administrator) try to open or make a
new collection a pop up appears with the next message:

A mistake has happened in the remote server greenstone
while this operation was executed:

How can I fix the problem to make remote collections using
gli-client 2.72?
