Did you read the other messages about ssh x11 forwarding?

1) Make sure /etc/ssh/sshd_config on the debian server allows x11 forwarding:
X11Forwarding yes
You will need to "/etc/init.d/ssh restart" for this to take effect.

2) log in to the server with ssh -X or ssh -Y to enable x11 forwarding.

3) Check that forwarding has worked:
$ echo $DISPLAY
localhost:10.0

4) If it didn't work, make sure that the debian server has the 'xauth' program
installed:
apt-get install xbase-clients
