Subject [greenstone-users] Running 2.83 on windows with Apache server
HI.

I have just installed 2.83 on Windows XP. I need to use the apache server so I renamed server.exe to gsdlserver.exe and ran gs2-server.bat from the Greenstone installation directory. The job ended with an error about not being able to find the main class. Here is the output of the batch job:

C:Program FilesGreenstone>gs2-server.bat

Your environment has successfully been set up to run Greenstone.
Note that these settings will only have effect within this MS-DOS
session. You will therefore need to rerun setup.bat if you want
to run Greenstone programs from a different MS-DOS session.

I do have another version of java installed (Java 6 update 17) in c:program filesjavajre6. Could this be confusing Greenstone or is this a known problem?

Thanks for your help.
