Hi,

collection folder.

The general answer is: as many documents as your machine and its
resources/specifications can handle. There are other limitations and
further information. Please see

You will need to give us more information.
1. What operating system are you on?

2. What version of Greenstone are you using?

3. What is the version of the PPT files you are trying to get Greenstone
to process? That is, is the file-extension something like "pptx" (Office
2007 and later version of PPT)? If so, then Greenstone cannot handle
such later versions of office-files out of the box. You will need to
install the Open Office application as well as the Greenstone plugins to
work with them.
Instructions are here:
http://wiki.greenstone.org/wiki/index.php/2.84_Release_Notes#Extensions

4. If conversion problems persist, what are the error messages
displaying in the "message log" of the Create Panel of GLI when you're
building?
In fact, it will be helpful to set GLI to produce more informative
output messages on error:

In GLI, go to File > Preferences > Mode. Set to "Expert". Click OK.

Now, still in GLI, go to the create panel and press the "Build
Collection" button to rebuild. If there are any error messages, please
copy the relevant messages and e-mail them to us.

Anupama
