I think Diego was talking about the optional z3950 client support
that can be compiled into greenstone.

In theory, if you have recompiled greenstone with the yaz z3950
client support, then all you should need to do is add some servers
in the GSDLHOME/etc/packages/z3950.cfg file. In practice, I don't
know if the client support has had much testing on windows, or
even if it's been tested recently on linux. The only other thing
I could suggest is to double-check that that the correct library
program (ie the one you re-compiled) is the one that is actually
being run.
