Hi Allison,

My collection isn't ready for public access yet...... But I did notice
with yours that the arguments passed to Acrobat in the url are not quite
right - it seems only to pass the first word. In fact the URL is missing
the second word and the closing quote.... Which causes a bit of a
problem in the Acrobat Reader search....

I suspect your format string isn't quite right.... Here is mine
SearchVList <snip><a
href=\"/gsdl/collect/gsarch/index/assoc/[archivedir]/doc.pdf#search=&quot;_
cgiargq_&quot;">{Or}{[ex.thumbicon],[ex.srcicon]}[ex./srclink]</td><sni
p>

I have omitted irrelavent stuff where <snip> appears
I think you are missing the &quot; from the end of the
&quot;Gordon Paynter&quot;

Hope that helps a bit

Ben M.

Thank you all very much for the info. We have a large PDF collection and
I have been looking for a way to pass search terms to PDF files. Your
information is great! It took me 5 minutes to add the parameter to the
cfg file and it worked!

Please try it in the Drew Pearson Merry-Go-Round collection at
http://www.aladin.wrlc.org/gsdl/collect/pearson/pearson.shtml. Pearson
wrote about political issues and almost everything from 1930's to 60's.

Thank you again!

Allison
