| Subject | [greenstone-users] fail to start greenstone |
|
Hello everyone, This must be a problem that you have encountered before, but
I could not find any previous emails about this matter in the archive. I recently downloaded greenstone for preparing to be used in
my digital library class in the spring. The version is 2.51, and I installed
the local library version. There was no problem in the installation. However, when I tried to start it by clicking the
“enter library” button of its initial interface, it opened a web
browser, but failed to enter the library, and always produced the error message
of “cannot find the server, the page cannot be displayed”. Then it tells me that I should not use any proxy servers in
my IE, but I did not. I also have the latest java environment. I suspect that it must be some simple configuration problem,
but I still cannot get hold of it. Can anybody help me on this matter? Thanks a lot, Daqing ---------- Daqing He Assistant Professor 651, IS Building, Tel: 412-6242477, Fax: 412-6487001 Homepage: www.sis.pitt.edu/~daqing/ | |
