Hi

I suggest you stick with Greenstone 2 - this is our production version.
Greenstone 3 is a research version.

You can download Greenstone 2 from
http://www.greenstone.org/cgi-bin/library?e=p-en-home-utfZz-8&a=p&p=download

Java Virtual Machine is used to run programs written in Java. You will
need this to use the librarian interface in Greenstone 2.
You can download it from
http://www.java.com (click on java software download at the top of the
page.)
