Thank you for your quick response. The Greenstone version that I use is
2.82. Does your solution work with this version? If yes, How do I change the
indexer to Lucene ?

Dear Satish Phadhe
Lucene Indexer has the option to sort search results by choosing a criteria
in a list box. Change your indexer to Lucene in Search Indexes, add dc.Date
as new indexer and rebuild your collection. When you build your collection
with lucene indexer you will get a sorting option also with the search box.
Select "dates" from the pull down list and perform a search and see the
whether the result is sorted on dc.Date Metadata or not.

I have set a few collections in greenstone with folders under it. Each
folder has about 50-100 PDF documents or images.
When I search on any meta, I require the search results to be displayed in a
chronological order i.e. based on the dc.date. How do I achieve this ?
Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
