|Update on the Image Display issues: The Image display issues I was having
were a result of an X Windows session not being called up on the server.
>From what I understand the Gimp/ software manipulation tools were not able
to process the images without an X windows session. With the correct format
strings in the collect.cfg file, I am now able to pull up images imported
with the ImagePlug from within Greenstone!!
I have yet to work more with the PDFPlug.

Greenstone is up and running (mostly) on our Solaris 2.8 webserver.
However, I am having some problems with image display, and using the
ImagePlug & PDFPlug.
The first problem is that images are not displayed. I am getting the "Dummy
text to sidestep display bug" error on the document page. Here is an
example of an archives xml.doc from one of my test runs:

I also have had no luck with the convert to HTML portion of the PDFPlug. No
images were created/ available for display.

manipulation properties of some of the underlying software (i.e. gimp, gtk,
