GLI APPLET problems

Installation:

Ian's Laptop Windows XP professional
Running internet explorer 6.x+
www.sadl.uleth.ca gli applet

Problem:

Adding any metadata to a document(non-folder) makes the upper level folder
have the metadata, and therefore the metadata that was added to this
document is 'inherited' from the upper level folder. This also means that
EVERY document within the same folder has this inherited metadata.

It seems as though when you add metadata to a particular document it
actually thinks you are adding it to the upper level folder that contains
the documents.

The metadata.xml file that is generated ends up specifying (for example
dc.title) the metadata field for '*' rather than the particular file it
needs to be added to.

:
<GreenstoneDirectoryMetadata>
<FileSet>
<FileName>.*</FileName>
<Description>
<Metadata mode="accumulate" name ="dc.title"> Tipis by Attila</Metadata>
</Description>
</FileSet>
</GreenstoneDirectoryMetadata>

Whereas it should say:(im assuming)

<GreenstoneDirectoryMetadata>
<FileSet>
<FileName>mydocument.html</FileName>
<Description>
<Metadata mode="accumulate" name ="dc.title"> Tipis by Attila</Metadata>
</Description>
</FileSet>
</GreenstoneDirectoryMetadata>
