hi dave

you can modify the defaults in the gsdl/etc/main.cfg file
add a line like

cgiarg shortname=fqn argdefault=6

fqn is the cgi arg that specifies how many lines there should be in the form.

when you are trying it out, beware of page caching - I have just spent 10 mins
trying to work out why adding this line wasn't working - if adding this line
doesn't seem to work, and your browser/proxy caches pages, make sure that you
reload the home page of the collection before clicking on the search button.

cheers,
Katherine Don
