Hi fellows
We have a Debian Server hosting the
Greenstone 2.70 version. The server needed a huge upgrade, and we
did so last week to kernel 2.6.22-2 and also the majority of
system applications. Since then , the import
process for Word documents fails.
This is part of the error log:

The rest is the same (we refer to the
conversion diagnostic) and the resulting Html document shows
(apparently) every single character from the original 'converted' in a
question mark (?).
Everything was OK before upgrade, so we suspect
from some weird change that affected the Greenstone installation. We installed the new 2.74 version but we still get it fail when importing.
Errors are the same.
We will appreciate any help or
advice.
Thanks in advance
Mariana Pichinini
