I have solved this problem. It's a bit strange but when I checked up
the main.cfg doc, I realised that it hadn't been saved with the proper
encoding due to which the chars were all being jumbled up. When I replaced
this file with the non corrupt file, this problem disappeard. I also
uninstalled the other version of gs on the same directory.
Strange but true!

Subject: Unable to view images on web page
I have been using greenstone DL for a while now. I use gs v2.6 Recently,
I haven't been able to view any of the images on my local installation. I
have also installed newer versions of greenstone on my m/c for testing the
functionalities. I have been facing thsi problem since the time I
installed gs 2.63. I wanted to test the existing collections , so I
imported the images and the colelctions folder to the gs2.63 installation.
Does this have something to do with this?
