Hi Annabel,

I suggest you try running both setup.bat and gli.bat from a DOS command prompt
-- this should let you see what is going wrong.

1. Go to Start -> Run, type command and press enter.
2. Change to the directory where you installed Greenstone. eg "cd Program
Filesgsdl"
3. Run setup.bat. If this is successful it will say "Your environment has
successfully been set up to run Greenstone. ..."
4. Change to the gli directory: "cd gli"
5. Run gli.bat.

Let me know where things break down during this process and we'll work out
what is happening.

Regards,

Michael
