Subject [greenstone-users] Virtual Writing University Archive
We are happy to share with the Greenstone community the product of two
years of work digitizing and mounting a digital library containing over
350 hours(and growing!) of audio and video recordings representing the
history of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa.
These recordings document the writing practices of poets, essayists,
journalists and fiction writers from every continent and span the past
35 years, with special emphasis on the past twenty years.

We are interested in how the collection handles traffic, especially as
relates to connection speed and international users, so if you have time
to visit and play a recording or two, please do so. The collection is
optimized for broadband, and to use the audio and video, you need a
high-speed connection. Quicktime Player is required for video. Please
let me know if you have questions, suggestions, or problems.

Thanks in large part to the very helpful people on this list, and of
course thanks to Greenstone software itself, we are able to share the
wealth of recordings in our archive. Many, many thanks to all.

Sincerely,
Jim Elmborg
