Unfortunately this isn't possible right now, but I don't think it would be too much work.

I think you'd want to map just the "collect" directory of your Unix Greenstone installation, and add a "-collectdir" option to the GLI so you can specify this directory (on the mapped drive). The GLI would use
this internally for reading and writing collections, and would pass it on to mkcol.pl, import.pl and buildcol.pl for creating, importing and building collections (these scripts already have a "-collectdir"
option). You would also need to set up your Windows GLIs with the Unix Greenstone library URL (so you can preview the collections).

(If your Unix box has a different endianness from your Windows computers you'd have to do a bit extra to make sure the collections work correctly. Let me know if this applies to you.)

I think this would be an interesting half-day project, and a good feature for the GLI to have, so I'll put it on my to do list. But, don't hold your breath (if you know Java, it will be quicker for you to do it
yourself rather than wait for us!).
