| Subject | [greenstone-users] links and metadata and dos |
|
Hello, I am working with a small group of records to learn how to use Greenstone so that I can, relatively soon I hope, create a site with records for about 4000 artists' books. The data was originally in MARC format. It was imported into Visual Fox Pro and processed. HTML records have been generated from this database. Re: metadata I can generate appropriate metadata bu I cannot seem to find information on how to import the metadata, dc and dls, without manually entering it at the Enrich interface. Where could I find detailed information on this. Re: links The HTML records have author and subject links in them. The links are designed to do a search of the records within the collection. My original links were processed by Greenstone but I get ineffective results. Links to my old interface are picked up and included in the URL. Internal Link not FoundFor reasons beyond our control, the internal link you have selected does not exist. This is probably due to an error in the source collection. Use your browsers "back" button to return to the previous document.Where would I find information on how to properly construct my links. Re: dos On my home installation I get flashing, cascading dos windows when I click the Build Collection. Any ideas? Hope this isn't too much to ask. I am very excited about Greenstone. So many issues I had to deal with before, like leading articles and diacritics are now handled easily! Thanks. Regards, Fred Head of Technical Services John M.
