I thought this was going to be a bit messy but to my amazement using
[c=col1,c=col2,c=col3] seems to work!

If you are just customizing one collection then you should create a
macros/extra.dm file in the collection's directory and put your customized
macros in there. In your case however, where you want to customize multiple
collections, you should put the new macro definitions in the main
gsdl/macros/extra.dm file with the [c=col1,c=col2,c=col3] specifier.
