Hi Sean,

(1) Are you still having these login problems?

(2) Could you tell us what you did to fix the Java Exception you
initially encountered, which was:

3) We have tested the GLI Applet of the current work-in-progress version
of Greenstone on XP, and it seems to work okay for us here, including
with allowing users to login. Would you like to have a go at testing it
for yourself to see whether it works for you? It will help us with the
release for 2.84.

You can get the work-in-progress version from:
http://www.greenstone.org/caveat-emptor/

Look for the link under the heading "Greeenstone2 Binary Releases".

Thanks and regards,
Anupama
