Hi Colleen,

1. Open up a Terminal window. (it's in your /Applications/Utilities/ folder)
2. Change to the gli directory. (For you, I think, enter: cd /Applications/Greenstone/gsdl/gli)
3. Enter: chmod u+x client-gli.sh
4. Enter: ./client-gli.sh

Number 3 only needs to be done once. I created a Mac Automator application that does this for me, so all I have to do is click an icon in my dock. I tried to send the Automator workflow for this to you, but my email client won't let me attach it. I guess it considers workflows a security threat. I'd be happy to help you make your own. It's very simple. :)

I am really in big trouble - I have installed Greenstone 2.80- on the
Macintosh Tiger 10.4.11. I am finding it totally impossible to get
the Librarian interface to work. I have the site up and running on
localhost under APACHE and when I click the Librarian interface it
tells me to simply go to the application and start it. WHERE IS THIS
APPLICATION - all I can see is gli.sh and gl.jar. I have installed
the library software under the folder Applications/Greenstone but
cannot for the life of me fathom where to start the GLI.

I really require this information urgently so any help here will be
hugely appreciated.

Thank you
