Sorry, it occurred to me that "out-of-the-box" Greenstone might not have style information for the <div id="footer>. Like many people, I've applies many customizations to my GS install, so I lose perspective. So here's my example that I put between the <style></style> tags in the macro in style.dm:

#footer
{
background-color : #000000;
font-family : verdana;
font-size : 65%;
color : #ffffff;
}

Adjust to your needs. You could also put something similar in your stylesheet instead of .

Try editing the macro instead of . It's located in style.dm. Here's mine:

{
<div id="footer">Powered By <a href="http://www.greenstone.org">Greenstone</a></div>
</body>
</html>
}

The text "Powered By Greenstone" appears at the bottom of ALL pages.

Hi everyone -

I got such great help to my last question, I'm back for more!

I'm having trouble getting a footer to stay put. It's fine on all of the
collection pages except when I get to the items. It's a collection of
html documents that display bibliographic information. Instead of formatting
on the bottom of the page, it's appearing on the right hand side
of the page.

Any ideas on keeping it put? Here is the code I'm including in the
collection macro file:

package Style
{
<!--page footer (_style:footer_)-->
<center><small>Footer Text Here</small></center>

}

Thanks in advance!
