| Biology demonstration manual |
This "Biology Demonstration Manual, is designed for use by Peace Corps teachers in the Central African Republic (CAR) in order to encourage and facilitate the use of demonstrations and experiments in the biology classroom. As biology teachers we are able to make biology come alive for our students by incorporating demonstrations and experiments in our lessons. They not only enhance experiential learning and stimulates curiosity but makes biology more fun for everyone.
All of these demonstrations have been selected and adapted for success in the CAR classroom, thus taking into account large class sizes, limited resources and time limitations. (The exceptions to this are the four demonstrations included in "The Kembe Appendix.") Hopefully this manual provides adequate suggestions and details to overcome the difficulties associated with demonstrations in the CAR and will result in the increased usage of demonstrations in the biology classroom.
