III. Hansen's disease - Three perspectives

"Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease of man, believed caused by the mycobacterium Leprae. It affects chiefly the peripheral nerves. It also affects the skin, mucous membranes, muscle (both straited and smooth) the eye, certain internal organs such as the kidney, liver and adrenal gland, and in the male, the testicles.
