3 Packaging materials

This chapter examines packaging materials that are commonly used by small and medium-scale food processors. It first covers rigid containers such as glass, pottery, tins and cans, plastic bottles, wood and cardboard. The second part deals with flexible packaging including paper, plastic films, aluminium foil and cloth.
