Acknowledgements

I would like to acknowledge the Peace Corps biology teachers in the CAR whose creativity and enthusiasm have contributed to the biology program and to this manual. They are: Brian Cole, who taught in Mobaye from 1985-1987; Jeanne Corwin, who taught at the CEG in Bambari from 1985-1987; Tim Altieri, a teacher at the CEG in Carnot from 1986-1988; Yon Makino who taught at the College in Bambari from 1987- 1989 and then was involved in conservation education in Bayanga in 1990; and from the health sector, Wendy Richeson, a School Health Educator (SHE) in Bossongoa from 1988-1989.
