Fondation international pour le développement

The Fondation International pour le Développement (F.I.D.) is a nongovernmental organisation established in 1976, with its Head Office in Louga, Senegal. It specialises in community development and assisting people to identify and research alternative technologies.

Although its name contains the word "international", F.I.D.'s aim is to operate in synergy with other partners to assist local initiatives. Addressees are to be assisted in developing and strengthening their capacity to satisfy basic needs.

To achieve its objective, F.I.D. uses a participative approach, giving priority to cooperation with the population and different funding organisations.
