            CONFERENCE OF TRIBAL GOVERNMENTS SECOND SESSION

                         CONFERENCE RESOLUTION

               Re: Vocational Educational Advisory Board


     WHEREAS, the Tribal Governments in Conference at Tumwater, 
              Washington, Tyee Motor Inn on April 5, 6, 7, 1977 
              on Human concerns; and 

     WHEREAS, the need for Vocational Educational Advisory Boards 
              should be established for each Bureau of Indian 
              Affairs employment assistance agency office; 
              consisting of Tribal Government Representation. 

     NOW, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, the agency comprised of 
              appropriate Representatives will provide state-wide 
              continuity for the following purposes: 

              1. Tribal priorities in Economic Development 

              2. Technical assistance for Vocational Education 

              3. Legislation - input from Sovereign Tribal 
                 Governments 

              4. Testing for vocational skills 

              5. Self-Determination for each Tribe 

              6. Career Education 

              7. Bureau of Indian Affairs system to Tribes. 

     Introduced and adopted in Second Session, Conference of 
     Tribal Governments, Tumwater, April 5-7, 1977.
