In order to guarantee effective medical, surgical and rehabilitative services to control childhood blindness, the necessary equipment, supplies and appliances must be provided. Selected tertiary-level or intermediate-level facilities may need to be set up or strengthened with this in mind. Such action should be combined with the training for ophthalmologists referred to above.
