This study looked at the impact on and the interaction with the educational system of the newly qualified teachers. The research questions were the following:
· What are experienced teachers' perceptions of the value of the present Teachers' College programme?· How are newly trained teachers socialised into the school working culture?
· What happens to the knowledge and skills acquired at the Teachers' College?
