Socialising

Garden parties, at the `new house', built in 1928 (Open to the public now - in the AA book). Describes family's social and civic life - school committee, scouts, guides & brownies, drainage board (Te Aroha), chairman Tatua Dairy Co. (discusses Dairy Co.). Recalls that family was very involved in community which she continued in her own life. Mentions tennis court and croquet at garden parties and swims in Waitoa creek.
