"They were everywhere, just about every country hall had a dance on on Saturday

night"

Mentions Gaiety skating rink, played roller hockey there,

"Before we even knew the skating rink was available,...my cobber and I had bought skates and we used to skate round the streets...and we used to get kicked off the street now and again too, the local constable would see you and he'd race up on his push-bike and tell you what bad boys you were"
