Professional Wrestling

At the Royal Theatre was incredibly popular. Heroes were Lofty Blomfield Earl McCreedy, Ken Kenneth.

"They used to get huge crowds to the old Royal Theatre. You had to book weeks in advance to get a seat to go and watch the professional wrestlers. It used to be broadcast on the radio and it was very much a popular pastime"
