Don Walker passed away peacefully with has family on 11/26/93. His wife Betty will schedule a memorial service in California at a later date. Don was the driving force behind the Association for Computational Linguistics. (I met Don briefly when he was at SRI International. He was always cheerful and glad to talk with me.)
