I overstated the capabilities of Marvel, from the Library
of Congress. Regina R. Reynolds says that all
of the online files of the Copyright Office are on Marvel,
but not all copyright information has been put online. Also,
the LC's online catalog lists only items cataloged since the
late 60's or early 70's, for the most part. Few full texts
have been digitized, as yet.

The problem with HP's new printer roller material affected
DeskWriter or DeskJet 510 or 520, DeskJet 550C, and DeskJet 560C
with serial numbers beginning with US36 through US43H or
ES41711001 through ES45112001. Ask HP for their Paper Feed
Cleaning Kit, if they haven't sent you one. You may have to
clean the rollers once or twice during their life if the pages
won't feed or you get bogus out-of-paper messages.

cold water and a scratch pad. Alcohol works, but can degrade
the rollers over time.)
Professor C.A. Brebbia of the Wessex Institute of Technology
has responded to the VIDEA'95 fraud charges by Drs. Purgathofer
and Groeller at the Technical University of Vienna. He says that
the allegations are unfounded, and deplores the "spoofing" or
"malicious and offensive betrayal of trust" by respected
scientists on the conference's Scientific Advisory Board.
Their abstracts were _provisionally_ accepted as relevant to the
conference, with weight given to the author and organization's
reputation. Full acceptance would depend on the full papers.
In this case, irregularities were noticed and the abstracts
were not included in the provisional programme. "The Institute's
conference programme has been extremely successful in ...
providing opportunities for young scientists to interact with more
experienced colleagues." [Avi Naiman , 3/31/95.]
