The Directory of Electronic Journals, Newsletters, and Academic Discussion Lists (4th ed.) is now available in hardcopy from ARL Publications (osap@cni.org), (202) 296-2296, (202) 872-0884 Fax. 588 pp., indexed; $54. This is 70% larger than the 3rd edition, and covers 1800 scholarly lists and 440 electronic journals, newsletters, and digests (out of perhaps 12,000 on the net). 74 e-journals are refereed; very few are from traditional publishers. A diskette version will be available in June, and the journals section (abridged) will be on an Internet server soon after. UK Mailbase e-conferences are included for the first time. For updates, send a "subscribe newjour-l your name" message to listproc@e-math.ams.org. [Ann Okerson (ann@cni.org), 5/12/94.] (Michael Strangelove compiled the earlier versions. Diane Kovacs, and other librarians at KSU and elsewhere have created this 4th edition. Ann Okerson coordinated hardcopy publication and did much of the net scanning (with Lisabeth King); around her office it's called The Monster.)
