Guide to Available Mathematical Software (GAMS) describes software from NIST's Computing and Applied Mathematics Laboratory. Telnet to gams.nist.gov and login in as gams for a command-line interface or xgams for an X-window GUI. Problems to gams@cam.nist.gov. [HYTEL-L, 1/16/94. net-hap.]

Radford M. Neal's "Probabilistic Inference using Markov Chain Monte Carlo Methods," CRG-TR-93-1, is a 9/25/93 review paper intended for AI workers and statisticians. 140 pp., with annotated bibliography. FTP review.ps.Z from /pub/radford on ftp.cs.toronto.edu. [sci.stat.math, 11/29/93. Chris Matheus.]

The International Association for Statistical Education (IASE) has an electronic archive for a membership list, announcements, etc. Post a "send index send iase/index send access.methods" message to archive@jse.stat.ncsu.edu. [David S. Moore (bxs@mentor.cc.purdue.edu), net-hap, 11/12/93.]

A benchmark Canadian Stock Market dataset is available from Robert Golan. Two papers describe analysis of this data with Datalogic, a package from Reduct, Inc. (Regina, Sask.). FTP stock.dat and stock.typ from pub/ebrsc on ftp.cs.uregina.ca. Contact golan@cs.uregina.ca if you need raw, non-discretized data. [KDD Nuggets, 12/17. Chris Matheus.]

CLASP, the Common Lisp Analytical Statistics Package, now runs on a variety of platforms. It has a CLIM notebook/desktop interface and uses BBN's extensible SciGraph package for plotting. A Common Lisp Instrumentation Package (CLIP) helps generate CLASP-format data about AI program behavior. FTP files, including clasp-tutorial, from pub/eksl/clasp and pub/eksl/clip on ftp.cs.umass.edu, or contact clasp-support@cs.umass.edu. [David Hart (dhart@cs.umass.edu), info-mcl, 1/10/94. Gheorghe Chita.]

UFlorida is offering an archive of simulation software, FAQs, and Simulation Digest. Use binary FTP from pub/simdigest on ftp.cis.ufl.edu, or gopher to gopher.cis.ufl.edu port 70 (CIS Information/ Simulation Digest). WWW/MOSAIC may also be used for http://www.cis.ufl.edu/welcome.html. [Paul Fishwick (fishwick@fish.cis.ufl.edu), comp.simulation, 12/22/93.]
