AI-Jobs is a new list, available with a "subscribe ai-jobs your name, affiliation" message to ai+query@cs.cmu.edu (or "ai+query"@cs.cmu.edu, if your mailer objects to the "+"). Send announcements to ai+ai-jobs@cs.cmu.edu. Also, the Lisp/Scheme jobs list has a new address, ai+lisp-jobs@cs.cmu.edu. Send a "subscribe lisp-jobs your name, affiliation" message to ai+query@cs.cmu.edu. A new prolog-jobs list is addressed analogously, also to ai+query@cs.cmu.edu. Questions to ai+@cs.cmu.edu. [Mark_Kantrowitz@glinda.oz.cs.cmu.edu, lisp-jobs, 8/12/94.] (Mark says he can easily create additional lists. I've been impressed by the number of job ads he's circulated.)

The misc.jobs.offered newsgroup has jumped to about 8,000 computer-related postings per week. I'm going to have to start depending on automated filters to pull out interesting announcements.

Usenet now has seattle.jobs.offered and seattle.jobs.wanted newsgroups. [William Guest (wrg@netcom.com), m.j.o, 8/5/94.] (Other regional newsgroups include atl.jobs, ba.jobs.offered, fl.jobs, uiuc.jobs.offered, biz.jobs.offered, aus.ads.jobs, uk.jobs, and de.markt.jobs.)

The American Institute of Physics (AIP) has a new WWW server, including AIPJOBS ONLINE for physical scientists. http://www.aip.org. Contact webmaster@aip.org about FTP, Gopher, and other access modes. [admin@aip.org, net-hap, 8/3/94.]
