Dr. Serdar Uckun of Stanford has posted a list of email discussion lists related to AI in medicine. Usenet newsgroups include comp.ai, comp.ai.edu, comp.ai.genetic, comp.ai.fuzzy, and sci.cognitive. AI-related internet lists include AIDev@aisb.edu.ac.uk (AI in developing countries), IAMEX-L on listserv@tecmtyvm.mty.itesm.mx (AI in Mexico and Latin America), ML@ics.uci.edu (machine learning), NEURON@hplabs.hp.com (artificial or biological neural networks), NL-KR@cs.rpi.edu (natural language and knowledge representation), VIRTU-L on listserv@vmd.cso.uiuc.edu (virtual reality), Vision-List@ads.com (AI and vision), and CybSys-L@bingvaxu.cc.binghamton.edu (systems theory). Two of the medical lists are MedInf-L on listserv@dearn.bitnet (medical data processing and informatics) and SMDM-L on listserv@dartcms1.dartmouth.edu (medical decision making). Discussion lists for wrist problems include sorehand, C+HEALTH, comp.human-factors, comp.risks, misc.handicap, sci.med, and sci.med.occupational. Sorehand and C+HEALTH are Bitnet lists. Send "sub sorehand your name" to listserv@vm.ucsf.edu to subscribe. Ditto for c+health on listserv@iubvm.ucs.indiana.edu, a list for computer-related health issues only. (You may have to add quotation marks to send submissions to "c+health"@iubvm.ucs.indiana.edu.) The RSI Network is a paper-and-email newsletter about repetitive stress injuries.
