4.4 Blood distribution
Inputs describing: the patterns of distribution of units of
blood between different wards (obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and
neonatal, medical and surgical, and other wards); the distribution in the
average number of units of blood provided to each of these wards (less than or
equal to 1 unit, 1-2 units, 2-3 units); and the percentage of blood transfusion
recipients that are female on the medical and surgical wards, and other adult
wards (excluding obstetrics and gynaecology).
