AGSC 1999

The 4th Annual Gender Studies Conference (AGSC 1999) organised by Tanzania Gender Networking Programme (TGNP) is scheduled to take place from 27th -30th September 1999 at the TGNP Gender Resource Centre in Dares salaam. This year's theme, is “Gender and Women Political Empowerment in the Coming New Millennium.”

Sub-themes of the Conference will include; popular democracy, constitutionalism and women political empowerment in the coming millennium, elections and electoral processes and women empowerment in the coming millennium national resource allocations and budgetary processes and women empowerment in the coming millennium, culture and cultural dynamics and women political empowerment and exhibitions and women political empowerment in the coming millennium.

TGNP calls for all gender activists, organisations and individuals in the country, regional and beyond to take part in this gender space. Estimate budget for single representative from the regional countries is as follows:-
