During the last years we have tried to figure out why the museum has so few visitors. The conclusion has been that Tanzanians do not show much interest in the static objects. What is shown at the museum must be contextualised. This is why the Ethnic days programme, with dance, music, food and oral traditions is more meaningful for Tanzanians. Dance is very important in Tanzanian cultures because within its limits you can express all feelings.
