Desert heat rushing forcibly
Towards the heart of
Africa
Relentlessly meting out
His boiling wrath
Frying all grass
crispy brown.
All pods shrivel in agony.
As tufts of singed grass bow low
The defeated dehydrated
farmer
Crushes the roasted earth
And the ferocious sun
glares
Sardonically at
him.
