This is a rare disease in Africa. This is so because it is believed that the causative germ does not survive easily in most African climates. Most parts of the body can be involved with dark lesions over hands, wrists, legs, ankles, buttocks, palms, soles, etc.

Treatment

Injectable penicillin cures the condition.
