Subject | [greenstone-devel] Phrase searching in combined field & recompilation |
Dear Katherine,
Thank you for giving me the code (phrasesearch.cpp)! But I am not sure if the recompilation (or the minimal recompilation you mentioned) will take away the present collections on my current Greenstone installation. I hope the recompilation will do no harm to those collections already on there. May I ask another related question? I want to install GIMP and perl-gimp module so that I can use Greenstone to generate images for new icons. My Greenstone version is 2.38. I found from "greenstone archives" that this version need to be updated in order to support the functon of image creation. But how is the "update"? Do I need to reinstall and (or?) recompile the Greenstone? Again, will it distroy the present collections? Or is there any possibility that I can get the image creation function without influnce my collections on it? If the "update" is only changes with perl scripts, I think it doesn't need recompilation. If I am right? Sorry for so many questions, Thank you very much! Xiao ---- Original message ----
