Hi S□bastien

Yes, you can move a collection built with the Windows platform to a Mac.
But you have to convert the index database file which is
/gsdl/collect/your-collection/index/text/your-collection.ldb (the little
endian database format for Windows) to
/gsdl/collect/your-collection/index/text/your-collection.bdb (the big
endian database format for Mac) by running commands "txt2db" and "db2txt",
instead of rebuilding the whole collection on the Mac.

Did you install the Greenstone on the Mac successfully? If you did, you
can try the way below to finish convert.

Before running the command either "txt2db" or "db2txt", the GSDL
environment need to be set up.

setup.bat (for Windows)
source setup.bash (for Mac and Linux)

Go to your collection directory (on the Windows platform), run "db2txt
index/text/your-collection.ldb > out.txt", copy the out.txt over to
collect/your-collection/index/text on the Mac, and run "txt2db
your-collection.bdb < out.txt"
