Hi Rick,

Try to edit the macros first, because the library is a comiled c++ executable, which requires programming experience to modify.

The library executable file is compiled (or created) from c++ source code in the greenstone/src/recpt directory. To modify the library executable you would edit the c++ code in the recpt directory mentioned, and then recompile the executable from there.

What would you like to change? Search for what you would like to change in the greenstone/macros directory. Greenstone allows many things to be changed through macros without resorting to changing the source code.

For more information about macros see:

Additionally, there is a lot of other information in the wiki if you have a search around:

Try searching  for customization.

Hope this helps,
