Do you mean that you're on Windows and using the Local Library Server?
The local library server's interface is the little white window that
launches when you start up the Greenstone Librarian Interface/GLI, or
when you run server.exe?

If that is what you are referring to, then you can try the local library
server window's File menu settings to see if there's a way to fix the
port number to a specific value. Alternatively, if you wish your digital
library to be accessible to the outside world, you can set up an Apache
webserver to work with your Greenstone installation. For instructions on
how to do this, please refer to the following page at the Greenstone

Do you mean setting up a hierarchical browsing classifier, where
clicking on the top-level node expands to show the internal nodes
(subdirectories) or individual leaves (representing documents)? Though I
am not sure how it will work with content that is located on a CD, more
information on how to set up hierarchical classifiers for your data can
be found in the tutorial pages such as this one:
