In case this is a helpful tip for some - at times, pdftohtml conversion
on Greenstone is not very pretty. If you happen to be either able to or in a position where you need to create your own PDF file, I have found that preparing your PDF using LyX produces quite passable results in html and superb pdf presentation - much better than, say, a PDF resulting from Open Office. In fact, if you need to produce high quality, print-ready pdf files, then LyX is a much easier way to work than Word processing of any kind. (For those unaware, LyX is a GUI frontend for LaTeX and not too difficult to learn to use. For certain jobs, once you've used it, you wouldn't want to go back to word processing! Julian |
